On January 20, 2017, a group of 50 community members joined with one another - unified together and celebrating the voices of those who advocate for the marginalized. IJPC partnered with Aly Wilson, a volunteer, and other collaborating organizations to not only give a platform for activists to speak about unity but also a chance for people to watch President Donald Trump's inaugural address. Seven speakers took the podium covering a wide range of topics and issues addressing the same prompt, "What does a just and peaceful America look like and how do we get there?"Read More

This afternoon, President Trump announced two executive actions regarding immigration, including construction of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border and increased capacity for enforcement of immigration laws. IJPC stands in solidarity with the immigrant community in Greater Cincinnati. We reject President Trump’s approach to immigration policies and his efforts to divide communities. Read More
In times of extreme divisiveness it is often difficult to find common ground between ourselves and those with disparate opinions. The passion that drives us forward can sometimes prevent us from listening to others and creating new understanding. Rather than engage in heated debates that create an Us vs. Them mentality, IJPC encourages the dialogue process that allows people with different views to listen to one another and find mutual understanding.Read More
IJPC is disappointed to learn that Dylan Roof has just been sentenced to death for the shooting deaths of nine innocent members of the Emanuel AME church in Charleston, SC. While Dylan’s actions are indefensible and reprehensible, we hold to our belief that all human life is sacred without condition and that taking the life of one who has taken the life of others serves no purpose other than vengeful retribution.
