    IJPC is excited to welcome Dr. Jesse Bach from Cleveland to lead The Forgotten Ones: Domestic Child Soldiers in the United States. The event will explore the concept of child soldiers in the United States, bringing up issues of race, borders, poverty, ethnicity, agency, American superiority, and prison-industry profit that have intentionally co-opted the definition of child soldier away from domestic child gang members.

    Rethinking Racism will coordinate a learning activity through an adapted role play developed by the Zinn Education Project. The experience will highlight the negative impacts of Christopher Columbus, recognize wrongs done to the native peoples of the Americas, and honor their culture instead.

Both organizations work extensively to serve and assist refugees and immigrant families.
