YES will not stop pressuring our members of Congress until we see the DREAM Act pass. Along with our social media campaign, YES will have a rally where we will give a midterm grade to our members of Congress for how they represent their commitment on immigration policy. Please join us Sunday, November 12 outside Portman's office as we give all of our members of Congress a midterm grade.

In light of the recent immigration enforcement action, Supporting Latino Families of Northern Kentucky and local allies are asking for the community's help and support. Come hear what's happened, what the community needs and what you can do to help.

The Columbus Crossing Borders film Breathe Free is a moving, powerful documentary that shares the stories of refugees and the art exhibit inspired by those stories. Through the lens of filmmaker Doug Swift, we are introduced to those who fled war, violence and persecution. We witness the unease and fear surrounding U.S. border issues. And we learn how this leads to 34 artists producing a project based on forced migration.

Experience a visual tribute to resilience, strength, and courage in this traveling exhibit of 34 artists illustrating the stories of migrants. The pop-up exhibit opens at 10 am. on Wednesday, Jan. 11. A reception will be held from 4 to 7 pm. Register for the reception on Eventbrite.

IJPC's own YES members will be presenting the latest information on the ending of DACA and the campaign for a clean Dream Act to the Women's City Club at their monthly meeting. All are invited to come hear from our local "Dreamers" about what's next.

The Bullying & Harassment Committee of the Immigrant Dignity Coalition is proud to present Shut Down Bullying Behaviors: Empowering Targeted Kids, Tips for Parents and Schools. This free public event is for school administrators, counselors, teachers, parents, immigrant organizers, parent associations, language school teachers and community leaders interested in addressing the bullying of immigrant and refugee children. The presentation will be led by Jim Bisenius, a national expert on anti-bullying.

Join IJPC's Immigration Learning Community on February 20 to explore the increased use of immigrant detention centers. The meeting will discuss the issues of public and private detention centers, as well as the latest tactics and trends in immigration enforcement.

IJPC's Youth Educating Society (YES) has an amazing group of seniors graduating. The past few years, YES has responded to critical immigration issues - taking a leadership role during events surrounding DACA and the Dream Act. With YES, members also learn powerful leadership development skills around advocacy, organizing and storytelling. Hear from graduating seniors about the impact that YES made on their lives.

DACA recipients will join the president of Xavier University to call on our local members of Congress to support a clean Dream Act allowing young immigrants to work, study and raise families without fear of deportation.

Congress' March 5 deadline is MONDAY. Time is running out for DACA recipients. Now is the time to show up and speak out. We must keep pressuring Congress to act. We need a permanent solution for DACA, and that solution is a clean Dream Act
