Faith and Health Forum: “A Call for Political Courage, Vision, Leadership, and Faith”

April 6, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Universal Health Care Action Network of Ohio (UHCAN Ohio) will sponsor a Faith and Health Forum: A Call for Political Courage, Vision, Leadership, and Faith from Faith Leaders of Southwest Ohio on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 2 – 3:30 PM. The forum will be held at the Allen Temple AME Church, 7080 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45237. This will be an opportunity to hear from area religious leaders about the role of faith in working toward just health care policies at the national and local level. We have invited our two Ohio Senators and local Congressional representatives to attend and listen to our concerns.

Confirmed speakers include Reverend Damon Lynch Jr., Bishop Thomas Breidenthal, Reverend Elmer Martin, and Rabbi Sissy Coran. We will also make time for faith leaders and community members attending to share their health care stories

We urge our elected officials to reclaim the highest ideals of public office, to support legislation that meets the needs of all the people.  We urge them to work with colleagues to move from partisan debate toward dialogue that is inspired by a shared public conscience that results in finding common ground for the common good.

RSVP appreciated to info@uhcanohio.org or Donald Washington (513) 541-7099.
