The Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center’s (IJPC) S. Louise Akers Fellowship, through Mercy Volunteer Corps is an opportunity to spend a year in service through education and advocacy for social justice. This position was created to honor the legacy of S. Louise Akers, SC, co-founder and first director of IJPC, tireless advocate for social justice and integrity of creation. The fellow will inspire and engage communities to create change through analysis and action. Over 11 months, the 2021-2022 fellow will advance their expertise in peace and nonviolence practices through hands-on training, utilizing the knowledge they gain to create and lead a program to offer a Certificate in Peace Promotion for residents of Greater Cincinnati.

The priority deadline for volunteer applications is January 20 and the final deadline is June 21.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
