IJPC’s Death Penalty Cost Report is Out Now!

IJPC has been working hard to past year to investigate the cost of the death penalty in Hamilton County as well as the disparities its arbitrary application encourages. We are excited to release the findings of our report, “At All Costs: The High Cost of the Death Penalty in Hamilton County and the Disparities it Drives.”

To watch our discussion about the report yesterday with media and other partners in the anti-death penalty movement, click here.

We’re so excited that this report has already begun heating up the abolition conversation. And Governor DeWine’s announcement yesterday that lethal injection isn’t a viable option for executions and that next year will see no executions for the third year in a row gives us so much hope that abolition is within reach.

We invite you to browse through our new report and the articles in which it is featured below. In the coming months, we’ll be counting on YOU to help us use this report to advocate for an end to the death penalty with us, so stay tuned!
