Help bring IJPC’s next Annual Gathering to life with a team dedicated to an engaging event and fundraising for peace. This is an opportunity to grow your skill set while making a difference. Bring along your creative event ideas, social media or marketing expertise, fundraising skills and let’s make this happen!

About IJPC’s Annual Gathering

The Annual Gathering is a fundraising event with goals including: 1. Host marketable event to draw attention, 2. Increase IJPC’s network of supporters, 3. Inspire people with an upbeat, hopeful tone. Last year’s Annual Gathering, The Art of Justice: Creative Visions of Peace, featured nine local artists who shared their visions for a just Cincinnati. Previous guests and speakers have included Fania Davis, Winona LaDuke, Jose Antonio Vargas, and Fr. John Dear. 

Committee Responsibilities

Planning committee members should expect to commit 3-5 hours per month including at least one monthly meeting from March to November. The committee, broken into teams, is responsible for program planning, venue logistics, advertising, sponsor solicitation, fundraising, peace awards, and more as needed. 

Desired Skills

As a member of the Annual Gathering planning team, familiarity with Google Docs and Sheets is required. Experience in event planning, fundraising, social media, marketing and/or ticket sales are highly desired. Volunteers should also have a passion for peace and justice and support the mission of IJPC.
