Press Release: Ignite Peace Hosts Annual Gathering Concert with Emma’s Revolution

CINCINNATI, OH – On October 9, 2024 Ignite Peace will host its Annual Gathering at the Woodward Theater, featuring music by Emma’s Revolution and honoring local peace builders.

Known for fearless, truth-telling lyrics and melodies you can’t resist singing, Emma’s Revolution is the dynamic, award-winning activist duo of Pat Humphries & Sandy O. The duo are in their 20th year performing together. Emma’s Revolution’s songs have traveled around the world and have been sung for the Dalai Lama, praised by Pete Seeger and covered by Holly Near.

The evening will include inspiring music, desserts, cash bar, split-the-pot, and more. All are invited to join in an energetic evening, celebrating the power of music as a call for justice.

The Annual Gathering will also include the presentation of the 2024 Ignite Peace Bob Maxwell Peace Builder Award and the 2024 Ignite Peace Youth Justice Award. The Bob Maxwell Peace Builder Award was established in 2017 to honor Robert “Bob” Maxwell who passed away in 2016 and who was a steadfast supporter of the work of Ignite Peace. These recipients are distinguished by giving public witness to justice issues to bring about peace. The Youth Justice Award is given to a club, group, or extracurricular program of high school students who have made a dedicated effort to promote justice in Greater Cincinnati. Nominations are open until July 26, 2024

Ignite Peace invites local businesses, religious communities, organizations, and individuals to align themselves with a powerful movement for positive change by joining us as a sponsor of this year’s Annual Gathering.
