    The MARCC ID is a community photo ID that anyone can sign up for. The IDs have been useful for the undocumented community, people experiencing homelessness and those returning from being incarcerated. Su Casa & Catholic Charities are the organizations running the registration events and they need your help! This fall, Su Casa plans to have more community ID drives and they need volunteers like you to help make the process go smoothly.

  • Pursuing Peace in Cincinnati

    IJPC is thrilled to host John Dear, an internationally known activist, speaker, and author for Pursuing Peace in Cincinnati: Nonviolent Cincinnati Launch. We also will honor 2 local peacemakers with the IJPC Margaret Fuller Peace Award and the inaugural IJPC Bob Maxwell Peace Builder Award. We will also highlight some of the recent accomplishments of IJPC, as this event will serve as our annual meeting. As a celebration of peace, it will also be in lieu of the World Peace Festival.

    Join the organizers of Rethinking Racism as we discuss the local implications of national events. Attendees will have the chance to dialogue and identify how to use individual passion to take responsibility for creating and sustaining anti racism in Cincinnati.

      Residents seeking to obtain the MARCC ID card need to provide the following information: --Photo ID (expired driver’s license, national ID card, passport, marticula or other embassy ID) --Proof of residency with current address (utility bill, current rent agreement, medical record, bank statement) --$15.00 (cash) NOTE: There are two sessions – 12:30-1:30 and 2:30-3:30

  • Immigrant Dignity Coalition: Bullying Committee

    Immigrants and refugees are being targeted and bullied because of their legal status,  language, religion, culture, and many other things. Join members of the Immigrant Dignity Coalition as we discuss how to equip immigrant families with information on how to protect themselves and others from bullying and harassment.

    Walk for Peace is an event that highlights our individual and collective responsibility for the progress of humanity. It strives to bring peace into our day to day lives, and the lives of others in our local-global communities by recognizing that we are united by something that we all believe in: values. These include: love, truth, righteousness, nonviolence, and peace. The 5K walk will conclude with an intercultural fair, where community members can get engaged in meaningful volunteerism, and enjoy singing, dance, and art activities.

  • Stop the Traffick

    This anti-human trafficking presentation is the Senior Capstone Project of Claire Woodard from Mount Notre Dame High School, in collaboration with Samantha Searls from the Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center. Come learn the different types of human trafficking, young adult risk factors, warning signs parents should watch for and how to prevent human trafficking.

  • St. Francis and Oscar Romero: Embracing the Lepers

    Holy Family Parish and others will be hosting Br. Octavio Duran, OFM on October 18. Br. Duran was a close friend of Archbishop Oscar Romero and the photographer who captured some of the most iconic images of the Salvadoran priest and martyr.
