Listen to an overview of the book, ask questions and take handouts for Black History Month program ideas for young and old.

Race and the City is a compilation of essays that contain documented information and data about housing and displacement from the West End to Evanston and Avondale, the integration of Coney Island and the race riots of the 1800’s. Walnut Hills, Evanston, and other communities are mentioned throughout the book.
