Join Ignite Peace, UNDIVIDED, and the Ola Immigrant Welcome Center for a peaceful candlelight vigil on Tuesday, July 1 at 8:00 PM outside the Butler County Jail  to shine a light for the 450 immigrants currently detained.

We gather in support of Alonzo Tomas Mendez, a father and man of faith, unjustly detained in May, and to call for his release and that of others suffering in silence.

This vigil is a call for hope, dignity, and justice, each candle a symbol of solidarity.

Where: Butler County Jail, 705 Hanover St, Hamilton, OH

Who: Faith leaders, community advocates, and concerned citizens

Parking Info: Consider carpooling due to limited parking. There is a large lot at the Sheriff’s Office, which should be mostly empty by 8PM, as well as an additional lot across the street at the Municipal Court building, which should also be available.
