DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: The October 19th bus tour is sold out! Additional tour opportunities coming in Spring 2020. Stay tuned.  \nPlease join Rethinking Racism for a people’s history bus tour of the greater Cincinnati area as it relates to black and indigenous histories. \nOur two hour tour will begin in Northern Kentucky and travel throughout Cincinnati\, stopping at 6 sites of racial significance.  Volunteer tour guides will provide participants with relevant knowledge and food for thought. \nThe perspective of the tour derives from a legacy of peoples history or history from below. According to Urbana Peoples History project\, this type of history …attempts to account for historical events from the perspective of common people rather than political and other leaders. \nGiven that the collaborators on this project are not trained historians but interested citizens\, the information we’ll share is our attempt to bring more visibility to history that is usually unseen both in our city’s landscape and in our textbooks. \nSpace is limited so please register below and stay tuned for more tour dates next spring.
