If you would like to join the waitlist in the event that a registered participant cannot attend\, please continue filling out the registration form.*** \nAll are invited to join IJPC and End Slavery Cincinnati in Columbus\, OH on Wednesday\, November 16 for a Day at the Statehouse. We’ll meet up with other anti-human trafficking coalitions from all around the state to support the passage of Ohio Senate Bill 183 / House Bill 319: Enact Expanding Human Trafficking Justice Act. \nSB 183 and HB 319 would expand the criminal record expungement program to help more survivors of trafficking get a fresh start once they’re out of their trafficking situation. We know that trying to find a job or a safe place to live is extremely difficult when you have a criminal record. For many human trafficking survivors\, being arrested for crimes they didn’t commit is a common reality. Traffickers often force their victims to take the blame for something they did\, or force them to commit illegal acts on their behalf. \n***The registration for Day at the Statehouse is now at capacity.
